Corinne A. Jankowski

Corinne A. (Gagne) Jankowski, 84, of 236 Leamy Street, Gardner, died Wednesday, December 23rd in St. Vincent's Hospital, Worcester, following a year-long battle with lymphoma.

Born in Gardner on January 9, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Virginie (Boucher) Gagne.

Corinne worked in the City of Gardner School Department as a cafeteria worker for 17 years, retiring in 1987.

She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1943.

Corinne was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Gardner.

She loved to play golf and bowl, and was the City Bowling Champ of the Women's League in 1964. Corinne enjoyed gardening and was a fitness enthusiast. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Corinne most enjoyed time spent with her family.

Corinne was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Joseph F. Jankowski, who died July 27, 2006.

She leaves two daughters, Virginia U. Travaglini and her husband Wilson of Gardner and Cynthia A. Boucher and her husband Roger of Winchendon; two sisters, Christine Cloutier of Gardner and Lorraine Roy of Gardner; three grandchildren, Kristina Singer of Hollywood, CA, Keith Boucher of Winchendon and Lauren Boucher of Winchendon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Alfred Gagne; and by three sisters, Orise Gagne, Priscilla Fontaine and Margurite LeBlanc.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 31st with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 358 Pleasant Street, Gardner.

There are no calling hours.

Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner is handling the arrangements.
