Corinne L. Cormier, 93, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, May 22, 2023, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner.

Born in Gardner on June 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Philomene (Cormier) Cormier. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1947 and attended Notre Dame High School in Berlin, NH, from 1944 to 1945. Corinne was a bookkeeper employed by Richard N Tobia, CPA of Gardner, for 15 years before her retirement in 1993. She was previously employed by People’s Ice and Coal, Rousseau Bros. and Charles George, PA.

Corinne was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, where she practiced at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She loved to keep busy and was often found sewing clothes, reading, and listening to country and opera music. Corinne never missed Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy during the weeknights. She had a passion for traveling and visited various places throughout the country and Europe.

Corinne is survived by her three nieces, Suzanne M. Boisseau and her husband Jeffrey of Ashburnham, Monique A. Jalbert of New Durham, NH, and Nicole L. Pirani and her husband Kevin of Cambridge; nephew and godchild, John Cormier of Delray Beach, FL; godchild, Shirley Randall of Aurora, OH, cousins, Lorraine Gallant of Gardner, Jean-Paul Richard of Virginia Beach, VA, Rose-Marie Robichaud of Belmont, NH, Leon Battista of Waltham, and Janis Hamilton of Barrie, ON, Canada, Paul Hamiliton of Carlsbad Spring, ON, Canada, Rozanne Petersen of Oakville, ON, Canada, Janette Cormier of Gatineau QC, Canada, Norman Cormier of LaValle, QC, Canada, and Michael Murphy of Moncton, NB, Canada; several great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Gerene M. Jalbert and her husband Barthy, and Sr. Albert Cormier, PM; nephew and godson, Thomas Jalbert; and cousins, Roger and Gerard Cormier, Theresa Dupuis, Doris Mailloux, and Aline Lampert.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

A Calling Hour will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
