Clifford A. "Cliffy" Bouchard, 74, of 53 Ridgewood Lane, Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2011 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness.
Born in St. Anne, N.B. Canada on April 20, 1937, he was the son of the late Victor and Delina (Vaillancourt) Bouchard.
Clifford was a Maintenance Supervisor employed by Ridgewood Condominiums for 22 years, retiring in 2009. He was previously a carpenter for Leo LaChance of Gardner.
Clifford was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. He was a Third Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #396 of Gardner. He was also a very active member of the West End Beagle Club of Gardner since 1962.
Clifford enjoyed hunting, fishing, darts and horseshoes. He was an avid New England Patriots fan. Clifford most enjoyed spending time and socializing with his family and friends.
He leaves his wife of 48 years, Cecile M. (Lavertue) Bouchard of Gardner; two daughters, Linda M. Bouchard of Phillipston and Tina A. Bouchard of Gardner; a close family friend, Debra Dahlgren of Phillipston; one brother, Ronald Bouchard and his wife Alvin of Gardner; one sister, Claire Dembeck and her husband Leo of Largo, FL; two sisters-in-law, Lena Bouchard of Salem, MA and Lorraine Bouchard of AZ; one brother-in-law, Claude Martin; six grandchildren, Christopher Bouchard of Gardner, Ryan Moyen of Boston, Austin Landry of Gardner, Erica Martin of Gardner, Kristi Landry of Gardner and Bradley Landry of Gardner; one great-grandchild, Christopher Bouchard, Jr of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Clifford Bouchard who died in 1986; five brothers, Conrad, Albert, Edmond, Reno and Edgar Boucher; and one sister, Leann Martin.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 7th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, May 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
