Claire M. Lagasse

Claire M. Lagasse, 77, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, November 17, 2019, in UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA, following a brief illness.

Born in Gardner on January 31, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Francis and Rachel V. (Case) Rocheleau. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1961. She was a Secretary of Maintenance and Security for Mount Wachusett Community College of Gardner for several years before her retirement in 2007. She was a hairdresser previously employed by the Duray’s Hair Salon of Gardner for several years and provided hair dressing for several area funeral homes.

She was a member of Annunciation Parish of Gardner and the Gardner Chapter of AARP. She enjoyed volunteering at several organizations, helping to serve holiday dinners and she served as a Chaplain’s wife and assisted in its ministry. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Claire leaves behind her husband, Richard Huesgen of Gardner; one brother David Rocheleau and his wife Paulette of Gardner; one niece Denise M. Rouleau; one nephew Mark D. Rocheleau; two grand-nieces Kelsey M. and Kaitlyn M. Rouleau; and several cousins.

She was predeceased by her first husband Pierre Lagasse.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 2, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc. 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will be held Calvary Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon, at a later date.

A Calling Hour will be held Monday, December 2, 2019, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
