Claire Evelyn (L'Huillier) Hendrickson, 86, of 116 Church Street, Gardner, died peacefully Monday, January 14, 2013 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner following a brief illness.
Born in E. Templeton on September 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Fannie (Allain) L'Huillier.
Claire was a self-employed hairdresser for many years.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School in Gardner.
She enjoyed knitting, playing Bingo and doing crossword puzzles.
Claire was predeceased by her husband, Walter Hendrickson, who died in 1980.
She leaves two sons, Jay Hendrickson and his wife Jill of TN and James Hendrickson of RI; one sister, Jeannette Hallock of Gardner; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Norman and Ralph L'Huillier; and by two sisters, Yolande Letellier and Yvette Fredette.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 25th at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
