Claire J. (Boutell) Gallant, 75, of James Manor Rest Home, South Street, Fitchburg, died peacefully Sunday, April 20th in Hillcrest Nursing Home, Fitchburg, following a brief illness.
Claire was born in Athol on November 25, 1932, the daughter of Richard and Leona (Corey) Boutell.
She was a homemaker, and enjoyed puzzles and watching television.
Claire was predeceased by her husband, Telesphore "Stiff" Gallant in 1998.
She leaves two daughters, Deborah Fothergill of Ruther Glen, VA and Leona Gallant of Gardner; one brother, Robert "Butch" Boutell and his wife Carol of Templeton; three grandchildren, Paul and Ashley Butterworth of Royalston and Zachary Savoie of Gardner; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Clifton, Roger, Donald and Richard Boutell; and by one sister, Shirley Boucher.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 3rd at 9:00 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
