Claire A. (Bouchard) Dembek, 75, of 200 Sherman Street, Gardner died peacefully Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Largo Medical Center, Largo, FL, surrounded by her family following a long illness.
She was born in Green River, N.B. Canada on January 23, 1936, the daughter of the late Victor and Delina (Vaillancourt) Bouchard.
Claire was a weaver employed by Nichols and Stone Manufacturing Company of Gardner for 13 years, retiring in 1998. She was previously employed by E. B. Kingman Company of Leominster as a molder and LZ Kammen Company of Gardner as an inspector.
Claire was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner.
She enjoyed traveling, reading and watching soap operas on television. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 58 years, Leo B. Dembek of Gardner; four sons, Raymond P. Dembek and his significant other, Georgette McCaie of Gardner, Dave J. Dembek and his wife Allison of Templeton, Terrence Beck of Fitchburg and Peter F. Dembek and his wife Kathy of St. Petersburg, FL; five daughters, Diane L. Poirier and her husband Paul of Orange, Linda M. Landry and her husband Richard of Athol, Ann-Marie Lee and her significant other, Jeff Viers of Fredericksburg, VA, Jane Antagnoni of Largo, FL and Lisa A. Blanchard and her husband Woody of Gardner; one brother, Ronald Bouchard and his wife Alvina of Gardner; thirteen grandchildren, eleven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by six brothers, Edmond, Edgar, Albert, Rineau, Conrad and Clifford Bouchard; and by one sister, Lillian Martin.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 12th with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon at a later date.
There are no calling hours.
