Christine A. Scott

Christine A. (Brodeur) Scott, 72, of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, October 25, 2022, in the Kaplan Hospice House, Danvers, with her family by her side after an illness.

Born in Gardner on August 22, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Leona (Dumas) Brodeur. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1968 and later earned her Associate Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College with the Class of 1984. Christine was the Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools for the Gardner Public Schools in Gardner for many years prior to her retirement in 2012.

Christine was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She loved her dog Sugar, whom she received as a gift from her late son Jamie. Together they would go on peaceful walks around Crystal Lake. Christine also loved golfing, reading, and dancing. She loved taking trips to the ocean, especially Cape Cod. Christine’s greatest joy in life was her family, treasuring all the special moments they had together.

Christine is survived by her husband, John P. Scott of Gardner; a daughter, Janelle (Scott) Walters and her husband Jonathan of Danvers; a son, Jason Scott and his wife Terri of Westford; seven grandchildren, Odin, Cooper, Micah, and Jesse Scott, Sophia, Jason and Anna Walters; two sisters, Susan Adams and Denise Brodeur; a brother, Peter Brodeur; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by a son, Jamie Scott, who died in 2008, and a brother, Donald Brodeur.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held at a later date.

Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
