Christopher J O'Rourke

Christopher J. "Chris" O'Rourke, 42, of 9 Wells Street, Greenfield, formerly of Gardner, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 1, 2013 in his residence.
Born in Gardner on March 27, 1971, he was the son of George O'Rourke and Kathleen M. (Cormier) (O'Rourke) Lafreniere.
Christopher graduated in 1989 from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical High School, Fitchburg, where he studied to be an electrician.
He was recently employed by various local companies as a Master Electrician. He was previously employed by the City of Gardner as a Firefighter.
Christopher enjoyed sports, music, cooking and spending time with family.
He leaves his mother and stepfather, Kathleen and Michael Lafreniere of Athol; two daughters, Zosia and Izadora O'Rourke of Kapolei, Hawaii; one brother, Adam R. Weldon of Leominster; one sister, Mindy G. O'Rourke of Havana, Illinois; one uncle Stephen Cormier and his wife Patricia of Gardner; two nephews, Trippton Weldon of Leominster and Caleb Falsetti of Havana, Illinois; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his father who died 1997.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 9th at 8:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 9th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
