Charles P. "Red" Page, 92, of 303 Kelton Street, Gardner died peacefully Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville with his daughter Sandra Page by his side.
Born in Gardner on January 4, 1920, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Merle (Baker) Page.
Charles and his wife Doris owned and operated Page's Kozy Kitchen and Page's Lunch Trucks in Gardner from 1965 through 1971. He was previously employed by O.W. Siebert Company, Fontaine Brothers, Collier Keyworth, Florence Stove Company and other major factories in Gardner. In his early years, he delivered ice and was known as the "Ice Man".
Charles was a member of the Chestnut Street Methodist Church of Gardner.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. He enjoyed farming and sold Page's Corn many years. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, was fond of Country and Western music and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.
Charles was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Doris A. (Austin) Page, who died in 2005.
He leaves one son, Charles F. Page and his wife Deborah of Gardner; two daughters, Phyllis A. Moore and her husband Dwain of Gardner and Sandra A. Page of Gardner; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Howard and Frank Page; one sister, Blanche Cloutier and by his grandson, Brian Page.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Gardner.
