Charles "Charlie" W. Dignan, Jr., 45, of 64 Maple Street, Winchendon, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 19th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
Born in Fitchburg on June 18, 1962 he was the son of Charles W. Dignan, Sr. and Evelyn V. (Rines) (Dignan) Laroche.
"Charlie" was a self employed salesman and construction worker for many years.
He attended Gardner High School, Gardner.
"Charlie" was a true sports enthusiast. He enjoyed playing golf, especially loved baseball, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
He leaves his mother, Evelyn and her husband Francis Laroche of Palm Bay, FL and his father, Charles W. Dignan, Sr. and his wife Marilyn of Jaffrey, NH; one brother, Leonard A. Dignan of Winchendon; one sister, Alice L.Casavant of Gardner; one step-brother, Raymond F. Laroche of Orlando, FL; one nephew, Nicholas Casavant of Gardner; two nieces, Christa Casavant of Gardner and Amber Dignan of Winchendon; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Saturday, January 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
