Cecilia (Mei) Croteau, 84, of 41 Sawyer St., E. Templeton, died Monday, November 29th in her residence following an illness.
Born in South Ashburnham on January 25, 1920, she was the daughter of Antonio and Anastasia (Branchini) Mei.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and playing bingo.
Her husband of 55 years, George J. Croteau, died in 1997.
She leaves 2 sons, Joseph N. Croteau and James P. Croteau both of E. Templeton; 5 daughters, Georgette J. Croteau of Holden, Susan J. Bernard, Darlene M. Croteau, Cynthia J. Croteau all of E. Templeton, and Katherine M. Coppock and husband Allan of Marietta, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Patricia Croteau of Baldwinville, Vicki Maillet of Phillipston, Nathan Croteau with the U.S. Army at Camp Drum, NY, Jeffrey Bernard of E. Templeton, Aaron Coppock of Columbus, OH and Kristen Coppock of Marietta, OH; 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John P. Croteau of E. Templeton, a daughter, Phyllis A. Croteau of Gardner, 4 brothers, Geno Mei of Manville, RI, William Mei of West Haven, CT, Albert Mei of Derby, CT, Joseph Mei of South Ashburnham, and 2 sisters, Nancy Mei and Settimia Bastarache, both of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 3rd @ 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Friday, December 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
