Cecile A. (Luce) Collette, 69, of 125 Connors St., Gardner and formerly of 305 Pleasant St., Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, April 1st in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner.
Born in Canada on August 16, 1936, she was the daughter of Thomas and Madeleine (St.Coeur) Luce.
Mrs. Collette was a nurses' aide employed by the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home of Gardner for 22 years until retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
She enjoyed knitting, bingo, watching television and the Boston Red Sox.
She leaves her husband of 46 years, Roger J. Collette of Gardner; 1 daughter, Jeanne M. Cormier and husband Ronald of Winchendon; 3 brothers, Adrien Luce and wife Angela of St. Bruno, Quebec, Canada, Thomas Luce and wife Gizele of Brampton, Quebec, Canada, Albert Luce of Neguac, NB, Canada; 3 sisters, Louisa Luce and significant other Jacquelin Beaulieu of Quebec, Canada, Leona Luce of N.B., Canada, Julienna Luce and friend Jean Guy of Quebec, Canada; 2 grandchildren, Kyle and Kayla Cormier of Winchendon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Rene and George Luce.
There are no funeral services planned at this time. Burial will be in Bouctouche, NB, Canada at a later date.
