Cecile M. (Lavertue) Bouchard, 70, of 53 Ridgewood Lane, Gardner died peacefully Saturday, March 15, 2014 in her residence surrounded by family, following a long illness.
Born in Maine on March 30, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Adrian and Bernadette (Corriveau) Lavertue.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
Cecile spent her life as a homemaker. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother. Cecile enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking and scratch tickets. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends, and also enjoyed every moment of her free time.
Cecile was a Social Member of the Knights of Columbus of Gardner and the Beagle Club of Gardner.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford A. Bouchard who died April 28, 2011.
Cecile leaves two daughters, Linda Bouchard and her wife Debbie Dahlgren of Phillipston and Tina A. Bouchard of Gardner; one brother, Alan Lavertue of CT; two sisters, Giselle Wilson of Gardner and Jeannine Lavertue and her husband Joel of CT; one brother-in-law, Leonard Jalbert of Gardner; one sister-in-law, Laura Lavertue of CT; six grandchildren, Christopher Bouchard of Athol, Ryan Moyen of Boston, Austin Martin of Gardner, Erica Martin of Arizona, Kristi Landry of Gardner and Bradley Landry of Gardner; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Bouchard of Athol and Christopher Bouchard of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Clifford A. Bouchard, Jr. who died in 1986; two brothers, Lionel and Roger Lavertue; and by one sister, Constance Jalbert.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 19th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be Wednesday, March 19th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gardner Relay for Life, 350 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
