Catherine A."Kitty" Gallant

Catherine A. "Kitty" (Boucher) Gallant, 86, of 104 Church Street, Gardner, died suddenly Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster, surrounded by her family following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on November 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rose-Anne (O'Brien) Boucher.
Catherine was a homemaker, made all her children's clothes, loved to cook and spend time with her family. She enjoyed reading, word search, bingo, ceramics and bowling. She was an avid New England Patriots fan. Catherine will always be remembered for her willingness to give of herself and for her eagerness to help others.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Joseph L. Gallant, who died April 25, 2012.
She leaves one son, Ronald J. Gallant and his wife Louise of Westminster; two daughters, Elaine M. Mitchell of Mesa, AZ and Ann-Marie Menchin of Brockton, MA.; one brother, Placide Boucher and his wife Barbara of Lake Charles, LA; two sisters, Jeanne Grant of Michigan and Marguerite Bell Isle of Gardner; seven grandchildren, Darren Gallant, Rhonda Rameau, Jessica Gladding, Jay Julian, Cherie Stevens, Michelle Blue and Sheila Stevens; eighteen great-grandchildren; one aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Rene and Joseph Boucher; and by three sisters, Marie Bosselait, Theresa Gulbranson and Rita Boucher.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, August 30th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Thursday, August 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
