Carol J. (Aho) Woods, 67, of 160 Manca Drive, Gardner, died Thursday, May 3rd in Mass General Hospital, Boston, following a brief illness.
She was born in Fitchburg, April 6, 1940, the daughter of the late Waino and Eva (Belleau) Aho.
Carol was a 1958 High School graduate.
She enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards with her "buddies". Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. Carol was well respected and loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Delbert W. Woods who died April 18, 1996.
Carol leaves 3 sons, Keith A. Woods and his wife Maureen of Littleton, MA, Kevin D. Woods and his wife Lorraine of Gardner, MA, and Keary S. Woods of Gardner; 4 daughters, Kim A. Miganowicz and her husband John, Kathy Rosado and her husband Victor, Karen Bennett and Kristine Woods all of Gardner; 1 brother Wayne Aho of Fitchburg, MA; 3 sisters, Violet Kyle of PA, Shirley Rettburg of Coco Beach, Florida, and Betty Luca of VA; 10 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Kasey Bennett.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9th at 1:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Pastor Alexander Ufema II will officiate. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, May 8th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
