Carol A. (Dupont) Cormier, 76, of 2 Jackson Street, Gardner died peacefully Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following a long illness.
Born in Fitchburg on October 22, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Anna J. (Bianchini) Dupont.
Carol graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1954. She attended Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner.
Carol was a cook for the GVNA Healthcare, Inc. Adult Care for 14 years, retiring in 1998. She was previously a home health care aide for Catholic Charities.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Gardner.
Carol enjoyed cooking, camping, reading and fishing. She loved spending time at the beach in Wells, Maine and most especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Leo P. Cormier of Gardner; two daughters, Anne M. Dombrowski and her husband Alan of Hubbardston and Beth L. Cormier and her husband Kevin of Gardner; four grandchildren, Kristi B. Wing and her husband Jason, Adam M. Cormier, Logan Wing and Drake Wing; and several cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 1st with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
