Carol M. (Richard) Brouillet, 79, of Phillipston, formerly of Baldwinville, died peacefully Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in the Life Care Center of Leominster, after a long illness.
Born in Gardner on February 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Ovila and Melina (Jaillet) Richard. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1962 and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Bentley College. Carol was an accountant employed by Athol Memorial Hospital in Athol for many years before her retirement.
Carol was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She was a member of the Cocker Spaniel Club of America. She was a breeder of cocker spaniels and showed them at various dog shows. Carol was active as well as a volunteer at the Gardner Senior Center. Her greatest joy was her family, cherishing time with them.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Jamie Floyd of Phillipston; two sons, Edmond “Kurt” Brouillet of New Hampshire and Derek Brouillet and his wife Tina of Ashburnham; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Alexander and Sabra Brouillet, Preston and Abigail Floyd, Chad, Theresa and Christopher Brouillet; a great-grandchild, Carter Brouillet; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edmond Brouillet.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Please report directly to the church on the day of the service. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Life Care Center of Leominster Activity Fund, 310 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453. Please reference in memory of Carol M. Brouillet.
