Carol A. Augusto

Carol “Ko” A. (Yurewicz) Augusto, 78, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, October 10, 2021, in her home after a long battle with heart disease with her family by her side.

Born in Gardner on January 3, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Waslaw “Wacy” and Viola Y. (Ringuette) Yurewicz. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1960. Carol was employed by Simplex Time Recorder, Worcester County Bank, and North Central Human Services.

Carol was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Carol loved being outdoors especially camping at Horseshoe Acres in Andover, Vermont, for 25-years with their 5th Wheel trailer. She loved listening and dancing to Polka and Country music and playing the accordion and piano. Carol was an avid fan of her Boston Red Sox. She was a homemaker who loved to cook but loved and treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and friends.

Carol is survived by her husband of 56-years, George E. Augusto of Gardner; two sons, Christopher A. Augusto and his significant other Gail Sabettini of Gardner, and Jonathan M. Augusto and his wife Tanya of Gardner; four grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Jordan, and Madison Augusto; three great-grandchildren, Mackenna and Cassius Golding, and Levi Augusto; a sister, Judy Melanson and her husband Raymond of Gardner; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by a sister, Janice Yurewicz.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 22, 2021, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
