Carmelito F. Frades Sr.

Carmelito "Carm" F. Frades Sr., 80, of Gardner, departed this life peacefully at home on Saturday, May 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and adored cat, Bella.

Born in Magdalena, Philippines, on February 19, 1944, he was the son of the late Felix Sr. and Dorthea (Fuentes) Frades. He graduated from Groton High School with the Class of 1964. Carm was a welder employed by Fiba of Westborough for ten years before his retirement. 

Carmelito graced us with his loving presence of 80 years, which was recently celebrated with loved ones that he will never forget and cherish. He left a legacy of love, wisdom, and laughter from many adventurous travels. He also enjoyed outdoor hiking, camping, fishing, and bike racing in his earlier years. Carmelito's warmth and tender-heartedness have touched countless lives, all of whom had the honor of knowing him, which has left a memorable mark on the hearts of many. Though his time on this journey has ended, Carmelito's love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire and uplift us all; even though his physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live in our hearts and memories. May he rest in peace knowing he made our lives a brighter place simply by being in it. He will forever be in our hearts; his spirit will live on eternally. 

Carmelito is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlene C. (Alix) Frades of Gardner, a sister Evelyn, and brother, Felix and his wife Le; two daughters, a son, two son-in-laws, a grandson, two granddaughters and a great-grandson, along with several other family members. 

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the home healthcare team, neighbors, and the funeral home staff for their exceptional care, comfort, and support during this difficult time, which has been invaluable.
