Carla (Sutton) Winston, 72, of 6 Mare Meadow Lane, Hubbardston, died Friday, September 15th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
Born in Chicago on September 8, 1934, she was the daughter of Ethel Sutton.
Carla was the Director of Human Resources at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Washington for 18 years, retiring in 1997.
She was a 1953 graduate of San Diego High School, and in 1955 received an Associates Degree in Science from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Carla spent time studying at several colleges, and attended Harvard University.
She enjoyed horses and had a passion for amateur writing. Carla was also a world traveler.
Carla leaves a son, Keith C. Winston of Hyattsville, MD; 2 daughters, Lesley S. Barkley of Buckeystown, MD and Felicia L. Greim and her husband Thomas of Hubbardston; 2 grandchildren, Campbell T. and Zoe L. Greim of Hubbardston. She also leaves her former spouse Eldon Winston.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25th at 5:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Monday, September 25th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
