Carl Billington

Carl Billington, 77, of Fitchburg, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, June 23, 2023, in The Highlands, Fitchburg, after an illness.

Born in Gardner on November 27, 1945, he was the son of the late Harry and Thelma L. (Ellis) Billington. He graduated from Lunenburg High School with the Class of 1964. Carl was the Owner and Operator of Gardner Power Equipment in Gardner for many years prior to his retirement.

Carl’s life was dedicated to his racing and car shows. Carl started the Community Action Committee Car Show in Gardner with his friends.

Carl is survived by his former wife, Celeste M (Bourgeois) Billington of Gardner.

A private service was held for Carl at the Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

Carl’s family would like to thank the Highlands Nursing Home and Beacon Hospice for their love and care for Carl.
