M. Brogan Kusske, 46, of Hubbardston, died suddenly Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Heywood Hospital of Gardner, after being stricken ill at home.

Brogan was born in Seattle, WA, on December 28, 1968, the son of Victor M. Kusske and Dawn (Reese) Sime. He graduated from Selah High School of Selah, WA, with the Class of 1987. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Oceanography from the University of Washington in 1992. Brogan was currently the Sr. Vice President of Energy Monster of Worcester, where he also served as Vice President of Operations. He was previously employed by Iron Mountain of Marlborough.

Brogan lived life to the fullest. He loved the outdoors and all it had to offer. During the summer months, he spent time boating, fishing, and golfing; and in the winter months, he enjoyed skiing and snowboarding. He loved flying and previously held a private pilot license. Brogan was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox and the Seattle Seahawks. He cherished spending time with his children and family. He took great pride in his children's activities, whether it was a sporting event or a school play. Brogan loved spending time with his wife and treasured their special weekends away.

He leaves his wife and soulmate of 19-years, Marcelle B. (Boucher) Kusske of Hubbardston; one son, Gabriel "Gabe" L. Kusske of Hubbardston; two daughters, Madison T. Kusske of Hubbardston and Anneliese M. Kusske of Hubbardston; his mother, Dawn Sime of Manchester, NH; his father, Victor M. Kusske and his wife Linda of Yakima, WA; maternal grandparents, Loren and Shirley (Murdock) Reese of Starbuck, MN; father and mother-in-law, Normand and Priscilla Boucher of Gardner; brother-in-law, Andrew N. Boucher; three sisters-in-law, Celeste Goguen and her husband Pete, Suzanne Cormier and her husband Roger and Danielle Matheson and her husband Brian; seven nieces and nephews, Jacob, Brighton, and Ava Cormier, Brody and Chanelle Goguen and Mabel and Lizzie Matheson; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2015, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner, at a later date.

Calling hours will be held, Monday, March 23, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hubbardston PTO Scholarship Fund, 8 Elm Street, Hubbardston, MA 01452. Please reference in memory of Brogan Kusske. This scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating High School Senior who attended the Hubbardston Center School.
