Brenda J. (Shetrawski) Ayer, 51, of 54 Charles St., Gardner died Friday, February 27th in her residence following a long illness.
She was born in Athol on August 16, 1952.
At the time of her death she was a secretary employed by Sacred Heart School where she worked for the last 19 years.
She was a 1970 graduate of Gardner High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
Brenda was a loyal Red Sox fan. She enjoyed walking and dancing.
She leaves 2 daughters, Tania L. and her husband Aaron Chaisson of North Grafton, Kelly A. and her husband Maximiliano DePaula of Hyannis; her parents, Paul & Gloria (Alves) (Graves) Shetrawski of Gardner; 6 brothers, Bruce I. Graves of Otter River, Brian E. Graves and Barry S. Graves, both of Gardner, Steven P. Shetrawski of Worcester, David S. Shetrawski of Winchendon, Dean B. Shetrawski of Gardner; 2 sisters, Sharon L. Crowley of Gardner and Sheila M. Roy of Leominster; 1 uncle, Roland "Buster"Alves of Gardner, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves a dear friend and companion, William Hulette of Gardner. Brenda was predeceased by 2 brothers, Dana A. Shetrawski and Scott P. Shetrawski. She also leaves her former husband, Theodore Ayer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
