Beverly J. (Duncklee) Parady, 85, of Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, April 30, 2016 in River Terrace Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Lancaster, surrounded by her family.
Born in Orange, MA on December 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Elizabeth C. (Rounds) Duncklee.
Beverly graduated from Athol High School with the Class of 1949.
She was employed by Fitchburg Yarn as a yarn spinner for 10 years, retiring in 1978.
Beverly was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner.
She enjoyed ballroom dancing, ice skating, gardening and planting flowers. She was an immaculate housekeeper who also enjoyed creating silk floral arrangements and cooking. Beverly was a huge fan of the Westminster Dog Show.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Francis R. Parady, Jr, who died October 5, 1997.
Beverly leaves one son, Robert J. Parady and his partner Brian Lajoie of Leominster; one daughter, Elaine J. Parady and her partner, Judy Joseph of Phillipston; one brother, Douglas Duncklee and his wife Gail of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Norman Duncklee and by one sister, Shirley Lieberman.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 17th at 1:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, May 17th from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
