Bernice Racette

Bernice T. (Cormier) Racette, 88, of Templeton, died peacefully Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after an illness.

Born in New Brunswick, Canada on November 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Annie (Allain) Cormier.

Bernice was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church of Templeton.

Bernice is survived by her two sons, Donald L. Racette, Jr. of Templeton and Anthony C. Racette and his significant other Shawne McDonald of Templeton; three daughters, Suzanne E. Racette of Templeton, Christine D. Fanelli and her husband Michael of Templeton and Pamela Racette and her husband Wayne Cochran of Templeton; six grandchildren, Lisa Parillo, Jacob Racette, Jared Racette, Sarah Duke, Samantha Fanelli and Stephanie Duke; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Vincent Leger and his wife Dorilla of Winchendon; two sisters, Marie Packard and her husband Charles of Ashburnham and Gloria Richard and her husband Omer of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63-years, Donald L. Racette; one sister, Doris Collette; and two brothers, Normand Cormier Gerald Leger.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 25 Lake Avenue, Templeton, MA. All are asked to report directly to the church on the day of the service. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Patriots Road, Templeton, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Monday, July 12, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
