Bernice P. (Cormier) Beaulieu, 63, of 54 Lincoln St., Gardner, died Friday, June 2nd in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Born in Gardner on May 7, 1943, she was the daughter of Francois and Rosanna (Poirier) Cormier and lived in Gardner her entire life.
She was an administrative assistant employed by the Commonwealth of MA, NCCI of Gardner until retiring in 1999 after 16 years of dedicated service. She was a teller previously employed at GFA Credit Union for 3 years and a cashier at First National Stores for 13 years.
She was a 1961 graduate of Gardner High School and during her high school years she worked as a secretary for the late Harold Taylor.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church where she married her husband, Rejean J. Beaulieu on July 1, 1961.
Bernice was a member of the Retired State County & Municipal Employees Association.
She was a woman who loved life and always had a smile and a friendly word for those who knew and loved her. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends in Bouctouche, NB, Canada, N. Reddington Beach, FL and Gardner.
She leaves her husband of 44 years, Rejean J. Beaulieu of Gardner; 2 sons, Michael F. Beaulieu and wife Mary Anne of Templeton, Gary P. Beaulieu and wife Carolee of Raymond, ME; 1 daughter, Christine M. Stimson of Oakham; 1 brother, Louis J. Cormier and wife Terry of Livonia, Michigan; 1 sister, Margaret N. Collette and husband Ernest of St. Paul, NB, Canada; 8 loving grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, Peter, Thomas, Kevin, Dylan, Michelle and Abby; a sister-in-law, Yvette Arsenault and husband Gerry of Gardner; 5 brothers-in-law and 8 sisters-in law of Canada; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 12:00 noon in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, June 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
