Bernard Stephen “Steve” Arsenault, 60, of Gardner, died peacefully, Friday, January 22, 2021, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after an illness.
Steve was born in Canada on November 8, 1960. He graduated from Waltham Vocational High School.
Steve was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving from 1978 to 1981, and reenlisted serving from 1984 to 1988. Reaching the non-commissioned officer rank of Sergeant, he worked as a tank supervisor in the Second Marine Division at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Before being honorably discharged in 1988, he received the Meritorious Mast for the second time, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
Steve loved to be outside and especially enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels.
Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held, Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 1:00p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
Masks and Social Distancing will be required.
