Bernadette Vautour

Bernadette (Bourque) Vautour, 82, of 80 Oak Street, Gardner died peacefully Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in her residence surrounded by family.
Born in Grand Digue, N.B., Canada on March 10, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Emma Bourque.
Bernadette attended high school at the convent in St. Louis, N.B. Canada. She graduated in 1949 from the Teachers College in Fredericton, N.B. Canada.
Bernadette was a schoolteacher in Canada prior to moving to the United States. She was a homemaker for many years, and later she and her husband Dolor were custodians of the GFA Federal Credit Union in Gardner.
Bernadette was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner, and it's Adoration Chapel, and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was a volunteer at the annual Holy Rosary Bazaar, working both during the Bazaar and in the Poutine Factory. She lived her life as a devout Catholic with strong faith in her religion.
Bernadette enjoyed baking, playing cards, berry picking and visiting family in Canada. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, and will always be remembered for her incredible infectious smile.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Dolor Vautour, who died January 13, 2008.
She leaves three sons, Daniel J. Vautour and his wife Margo of Downing Town, PA, Raymond J. Vautour and his wife Jo Ann of State College, PA and John Vautour and his wife Laura of Alpharetta, GA; two daughters, Patricia M. LeBlanc and her husband Joseph of Gardner and Linda M. Morris of Templeton; one brother, Edmond Bourque and his wife Emelia of Grand Digue, N.B. Canada; four sisters, Margarite Bourgeois and her husband Henry of Shediac, N.B. Canada, Nelida Babineau and her husband Robert of Caissie Cape, N.B. Canada, Maria LeBlanc and her husband Raymond of Grand Digue, N.B. Canada and Florida Poirier and her husband Gerard of Grand Digue, N.B. Canada; thirteen grandchildren, Matthew, Lisa and Christopher LeBlanc, Willem and Martin Maaskant, Michael, Elizabeth, Emma and Eran Vautour, Lauren and Josh Morris and Sarah and Jonathan Vautour; two great-grandchildren, Amaiya LeBlanc and Jada LeBlanc; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Yvon and Gerard Bourque.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 12th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Sunday, December 11th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
