Beatrice O. Eaton

Beatrice Opal "Bea" (Maillet) Eaton, 71, of 26 South Main St., East Templeton, where she has resided since 1958, died Sunday, February 5th in Health Alliance - Leominster Hospital, following a long illness.

Born in Gardner on March 14, 1934, she was the daughter of Aurelle and Leta L. (Molone) Maillet.

She was a Registered Nurse employed by Worcester State Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1993. She graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College School of Nursing, Gardner, in 1984. Prior to becoming a Registered Nurse she was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 20 years.

She was a member of Holy Cross Church, East Templeton. Mrs. Eaton was a member of the Chair City Pipers of Gardner for 25 years, and was also a member of Tower Hill Botanical Society, Boylston. She was formerly organist at Holy Cross Church for 20 years. She enjoyed reading, baking, gardening, nature and traveling especially in Alaska, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Ireland and Canada.

She leaves her husband of 54 years, Carl W. Eaton of East Templeton; 3 sons, Mark A. Eaton of Nashua, NH, Daniel G. Eaton and wife Terry of Portsmouth, NH, Glenn P. Eaton and wife Victoria of Templeton; 1 daughter, Carleen A. Meyer of Hope Mills, NC; 1 brother, Victor Maillet and wife Rachel of East Templeton; 1 sister, Barbara Cohen of Dorchester; 4 grandchildren, Ryan and Brendan Eaton of Portsmouth, NH, Joseph Meyer V of Hope Mills, NC and Holly Meyer of Michigan; 1 uncle, Alden Worcester of Harrington, ME; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Daniel G. Maillet and a sister, Priscilla Laprise.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, East Templeton. Burial at a later date will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, February 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
