Austin F. Floria, Jr., 61, of 29 South Main St., Gardner, died Friday, December 22nd, in Heywood Hospital following a long battle from complications of diabetes.
Born in Worcester on October 17, 1945, he was the son of Austin F. and Dorothy (Hartford) Floria, Sr.
He was last employed as a corrugator at Meade Container Mfg. Co. of Gardner for 18 years until retiring in 1996. He was a cook previously employed by the former LaGrassa's Restaurant of Gardner for 5 years and had also been employed by Central MA Health of Lancaster.
He attended Worcester High School and received his GED in 1990.
Austin was a member of the Gardner Deer Club and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He leaves his wife of 36 years, Rosemarie (Manca) Floria of Gardner; 2 sons, Mark K. Floria of Gardner, Timothy M. Floria and his girlfriend Jennifer Nooley of Wellford, SC; 2 brothers, Charles Floria and his wife Mary of Leicester, Bruce Floria and his wife Dorothy of Worcester; 2 grandchildren, Hailey and Brent Floria both of Wellford, SC; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, John Floria of Worcester.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29th at 2:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Pastor Rev. Daniel Meiners of Bethany Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday, December 29th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
