Audrey A. "Ninny" (Fossett) Callahan, 66, of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in HealthAlliance Hospital of Leominster, surrounded by her family, following a long battle with COPD.
Born in Shirley, MA on September 12, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Dorothy E. (Oikle) Fossett.
Audrey was a Phlebotomist employed by HealthAlliance Hospital of Leominster for 15 years, retiring in 2009. She was previously employed by UMASS Memorial Medical Center of Worcester.
Audrey's favorite pastimes were cooking, crossword puzzles and shopping. She loved the ocean and spending time at the beach. Audrey had a passion for scratch tickets, and enjoyed watching the many 'Judge' shows on television.
She leaves her husband of 36 years, David W. Callahan of Gardner; two daughters, Jessica L. Taylor and her fiancé Kurt Ares of Gardner and Stacey A. Callahan of Gardner; fifteen siblings; her mother-in-law, Betty Callahan of Leominster; three grandchildren, Ryan P. Taylor, Paige M. Taylor and Sophia R. Taylor; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 9th at 12:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Friday, December 9th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
