Arthur A. Comee

Arthur A. "Porky" Comee, 88, of 75 Rosewood Drive, Gardner died Saturday, October 30th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on August 14, 1916, he was the son of Arthur E. and Emma (Blake) Comee.
He was a fabric cutter and assembler employed by Collier-Keyworth Co. of Gardner for 34 years, retiring in 1982.
Mr. Comee was a charter member of Two Hearts As One, Jump Town Twirlers Club and in addition to square dancing and golfing, he was a loyal Red Sox Fan.
He was a World War II US Army Veteran and received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with three battle stars, American Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with star, Good Conduct Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
His first wife, Jeannette H. (Casavant) Comee of Gardner died in 1987.
He leaves his present wife of 14 years, Lillian G. (Magill) Comee of Gardner; 2 sons, Dennis W. Comee and wife Jane, David A. Comee and wife Kathy all of Gardner; 1brother, Virgil Comee of Templeton; 3 grandchildren, Shaun Comee of Gardner, Tavis Comee of Middleboro, Megan Comee of Tilton, NH; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by 4 brothers, Morton, Herman, Gordon and Vernon Comee.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 4th @ 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St. Gardner. Burial of cremains in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner, will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, November 3rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
