Arsene J. LeBlanc

Arsene J. LeBlanc, 90, of 1915 Seminole Blvd., Largo, Florida, formerly of Gardner, MA, died Friday, June 14, 2013 in Largo Medical Center, Largo, FL following a brief illness.
Born in St. Anne de Kent, N.B. Canada on October 27, 1922, he was the son of the late Pius and Theotiste (Gallant) LeBlanc.
Arsene was a commercial fisherman serving on the Oceanic out of New Bedford Harbor for many years, retiring in 1977. He also served in the Canadian Legion.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
Arsene enjoyed working around the house, socializing with friends and spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Irene M. (Saulnier) of Largo, FL; two sons, Paul J. LeBlanc and Gerard Y. "Bib" LeBlanc both of Largo, FL; three daughters, Claudette T. LeBlanc and her significant other John Flagg of Athol, Lucille M. McCaie and her husband Rheal of Gardner and Gloria M. Jalbert and her husband Ronald of Baldwinville; two brothers, Johnnie LeBlanc and his wife Eva of St. Anne de Kent, N.B. Canada and Edmond LeBlanc and his wife Lillian of Gardner; two sisters, Cecilia Luening of St. Anne de Kent, N.B. Canada and Mary-Paul Dionne and her husband Fernand of Montreal, Canada; nine grandchildren, Paul Leblanc, Jr., Steven Doiron, Lisa Doiron, Jessica LeBlanc, Crystal LeBlanc, Ricky McCaie, Ryan McCaie, Jason Jalbert and Jake Jalbert; nine great-grandchildren, Mykenzie, Gabrielle, Jasmine, Justin, Kaydence, Jillian, Jackson, Quintin and Anna Belle; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Alcide, Alex and Alban.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 5th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Friday, July 5th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gardner Relay for Life, 350 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
