Armand W. Murphy, "Murph", 61, of 122 Main Street, Gardner, died suddenly Sunday, September 24th in University of Massachusetts Hospital, University Campus, Worcester.
Born in Gardner on August 27, 1945, he was the son of William P. and Blanche I. (LaMarche) Murphy.
He was a set-up technician employed by H & R. 1871 of Gardner for 20 years, retiring in 1996. He was previously employed by Heywood-Wakefield Co., Gardner.
Armand was a 1963 graduate of Gardner High School. He was a former social member of the American Legion Post #129 and the Napoleon Club.
He enjoyed playing golf, softball and reading.
Armand leaves 4 brothers, Franklin J. Murphy of Gardner, James F. Murphy and his wife Barbara of Palm Coast, FL, Mark D. Murphy and his wife Claire, Paul B. Murphy and his wife Marcia all of Templeton; one sister Martha J. Baillargeon and her husband Roland A. of Templeton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 28th at 1:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Thursday, September 28th from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
