Armand L. Larcenaire, 84, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner, formerly of 99 Bridge Street, Baldwinville died peacefully Monday, January 14th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Gardner, following a long illness.
He was born in Bouctouche N.B. Canada on June 27, 1923, the son of the late Pierre and Eugenie (Girouard) Larcenaire.
Armand was an extruder employed by Foster Grant Corporation, a division of American Hoechst Co. of Leominster for 31 years until retiring in 1982.
Mr. Larcenaire was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. He was also a member of the Foster Grant 25 Year Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 747 of Gardner.
He enjoyed playing various card games; including solitaire, cribbage, fish and pitch. Armand enjoyed listening to country music, his beagle dogs, and especially loved time spent with his family.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Therese M. (Maillet) Larcenaire of Gardner; two sons, Rene A. Larcenaire and his wife Kyong of Ashburnham and Paul J. Larcenaire and his wife Jacquelyn of Athol; two daughters, Janice M. Donahue and her husband Steven of Westminster and Diane M. Prentiss and her husband Marcus of Hubbardston; three sisters, Marie LeBlanc of Gardner, Edna LeBlanc of Monreal P.B. Canada and Rita Girouard of Moncton N.B. Canada; eight grandchildren, Steven Donahue, Jr., Daniel Donahue, Angela Luhtjarv, Spencer Prentiss, Danielle Prentiss, Lytia Prentiss, Kyle Larcenaire and Kevin Larcenaire; two great-grandchildren, Alec Prentiss and Mackenzie Donahue; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Philip, Joseph and Albert Larcenaire, and one sister, Bella Goguen.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 18th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, January 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
