Antonine "Tina" Faith Waskiewicz

Antonine "Tina" Faith (Swercewski) Waskiewicz, 77, of East Templeton, died peacefully Thursday, August 5, 2021, at home.

Born in Gardner on September 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Anthony “Bill” and Wanda (Baker) Swercewski. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1961 after which she received her nursing degree and began work as a surgical technician for Heywood Hospital until she retired after 25 years.

Antonine was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church in East Templeton, a member of the Templeton Women’s Club, and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed many things, including painting, photography, and flower gardening. Antonine loved to travel and visited many places around the world during her life. But the time that she loved and treasured the most was spent with her family and friends.

Antonine is survived by her son, Jon D. Waskiewicz of Templeton; two grandchildren, Devan M. and Dayna L. Waskiewicz, both of Templeton; a brother, David Swercewski and his wife Ellen of Preston, CT; a sister-in-law, Estelle Haverty, and her husband James of Gardner; nieces and nephews, Karen Graves of Gardner, Katherine Demaray of Philadelphia, PA, Michael Haverty of Arnold, MO, Robert Swercewski of Beacon Falls, CT and Michael Swercewski of Philadelphia, PA.

She was predeceased by her husband of 45-years, David F. Waskiewicz, who died on December 10, 2014.

Calling Hours will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in St. John’s Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
