Anthony P. "Tony" Meskauskas, 64, of Gardner, died suddenly Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after being stricken ill at home.
Born in Gardner on June 4, 1948, he was the son of Frank J., Sr. and Blanche E. (Duquette) Meskauskas.
Anthony was a machinist employed by H & R 1871 of Gardner for 40 years, retiring in 2009. He was previously employed by S. Bent Brothers, Inc. of Gardner.
He attended Gardner High School.
Anthony was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Gardner.
He enjoyed cutting wood, fishing, blueberry picking, gardening and working on computers. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Anthony also enjoyed watching the Weather Channel and sports on television.
Besides his mother, Blanche E. (Duquette) Meskauskas of Gardner, he leaves one daughter, Angela Z. Meskauskas of Arlington Heights IL; two brothers, Frank D. Meskauskas , Jr. of Hubbardston and Daniel P. Meskauskas and his wife Lola of E. Templeton; one sister, Karen M. Beaton and her husband John of Gardner; his former wife, Anne Richard of Bremerton, WA; one stepdaughter, Brenda Sutton and her husband John of Bremerton, WA; two nieces, April Leblanc and Jenny Hobson , who was also his Goddaughter; three nephews, Dennis Meskauskas, Collins Beaton and Corey Beaton; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, James F. Meskauskas who died in 1963.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 30th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be Tuesday, April 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
