Anthony J"Tony" Baublis Sr

Anthony J. "Tony" Baublis, Sr. 70, of Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, October 10, 2015 in his residence surrounded by family, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on July 23, 1945, he was the son of the late Brauney and Anita (Dziemdowicz) Baublis.
Tony graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1963. He attended Brown University of Rhode Island, Lowell Technical Institute of Lowell and Mount Wachusett Community College of Gardner.
Tony was employed by Digital Equipment Corporation of Maynard as an Information Systems Manager for 25 years, leaving in 1991. He was subsequently employed by various technical companies, retiring in 2006.
He was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
Tony enjoyed golfing, boating, hunting, fishing, reading and biking. He treasured spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was a member of the Gardner Municipal Golf Course of Gardner and Norco Sportsman's Club Inc. of Princeton.
Tony leaves his wife of 50 years, Claire D. (LeBlanc) Baublis of Gardner; two sons, Anthony J. Baublis, Jr. and his wife Bethany of Westborough and Alan J. Baublis and his wife Carla of Kalamazoo, MI; one daughter, Deborah A. Robichaud and her husband Scott of Templeton; one brother, Stanley J. Baublis and his wife Carole of Gardner; eight grandchildren, Elise C. Robichaud, Andrew J. Baublis, Aaron J. Baublis, Owen S. Robichaud, Alek J. Baublis, Celia P. Baublis, Abrahm J. Baublis and Lilla M. Baublis; four nieces, three nephews and several cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 15th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heywood Hospital Oncology Department, 242 Green Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
