Annette R. (Plante) Rushia, 90, of 24 Guild Rd., Gardner died Saturday, May 29th in her residence following an illness.
Born in Willimantic, CT on July 16, 1913, she was the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Dumais) Plante.
She was a furniture assembler employed by the former LaPlante Mfg. Co. of Gardner for several years until retiring in 1970.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Mrs. Rushia was an excellent homemaker.
Her husband of 41 years, Walter A. Rushia, died in 1974.
She leaves 4 sons, Donald J. Rushia of Gardner, David W. Rushia of Norton, Gary N. Rushia of Gardner and Paul J. Rushia of Winchendon; 2 brothers, Joseph Matthew "Petei¿½ Plante of Swansea and Roger Plante of Westminster; 2 sisters, Lucy Leclair of Winchendon and Beatrice Hunt of Baldwinville; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3rd, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 9:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, June 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
