Annette A. (Jalbert) Bettey, 75, of 48 Foss Road, Gardner, died Friday, January 28th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on August 23, 1929, she was the daughter of Toussaint and Rose (Voisine) Jalbert.
She was an assembler employed by Simplex Time Recorder Co. for 24 ½ years until retiring in 1991.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Mrs. Bettey enjoyed reading, puzzles, traveling and playing cards.
Her husband of 42 years, Henry J. Bettey, died in 1991.
She leaves 1 son, Rene D. Bettey and wife Janet of Royalston; 1 daughter, Lorraine J. (Bettey) Robichaud and husband Ludger of Gardner; 5 sisters, Rita Couture, Theresa LeBlanc, Nora Mason all of Gardner, Claire Perry of Stratford, CT and Dorina Claudette of Meriden, CT; 2 grandchildren, U.S. Army Captain Bryan P. Bettey and wife Laura of Fayetteville, NY and Nathan M. Bettey and wife Becky of Cheyenne, WY; 1 great-grandchild, Zachary Bettey of Cheyenne, WY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Jalbert of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 1st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, January 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
