Anne-Marie (Trudeau) Manseau, 88, of Gardner, entered peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus, Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family after an illness.
Born in Holyoke on May 25, 1935, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Gisele B. Trudeau. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1953. Anne-Marie was a clerk employed by Walmart in their shoe department for several years prior to her retirement. She worked several types of jobs over her lifetime from secretarial work to service and retail jobs. Her most cherished role was Mother and Memere.
Anne-Marie was a congregant of the Bread of Life Church of Westminster, and her faith in Jesus Christ was the most important aspect of her life. She loved to travel, work on crafts, and enjoyed the company of animals, especially family pets consisting of cats and dogs, over her lifetime. Anne-Marie loved musicals, especially The Sound of Music. Laughing and spending time with her friends was always a joy, she could be found on adventures with Rachel & Cheryl or on the phone with Anna or Joyce. She loved volunteering at Jane’s daycare, being the resident Memere, her love for her daughter Kim and favorite son-in-law, Mike Sr., and their family was her greatest priority, treasuring the time they spent making memories and living life day to day together.
Anne-Marie is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ferguson, and her husband, Michael Sr., of Gardner; five grandchildren, Rebecca Merchant and her fiancé Andrew Trickett, of Orange, Christopher Merchant and his wife Aimee, of Gardner, Michael Ferguson Jr, of Gardner, Sarah Lewis and her husband Slade, of Gardner, and Justin Ferguson and his wife Alexis, of Largo Florida; two great-grandchildren, Slade J. Lewis, and Elijah Trickett; her niece Sharon and Nephew Brian of Florida, her daughter Kim’s father Ed Manseau, nieces and nephews from her marriage, several cousins and extended family and friends, many who knew her as Memere.
Besides her parents, Anne-Marie was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Trudeau, and her nephew, Mark Trudeau.
Services for a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Bread of Life Church, 22 State Road East, Westminster, MA.
Please come dressed to enjoy a party with friends, comfortable and colorful!
Her burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Anne-Marie will be buried with her parents and other family at Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley, MA.
