Anne Ruth DiBuono

Anne (Murray) DiBuono, 85, of Hubbardston, died peacefully Monday, August 14, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family after an illness.

Born in Fairfield, Connecticut, on February 7, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd C. Murray and Janice R. (Bigelow) Parmenter. She graduated from Northborough High School with the Class of 1956 and attended Clark University.

Anne was a congregant of the Evangelical Congregational Church of Hubbardston, where she was its organist for 25 years. Music was her passion. She enjoyed teaching and playing piano, as well as singing. Her most loved music was her husband’s guitar playing and singing.  Anne was passionate about holistic living and owned an herb shop in her home for several years. She loved gardening and garden design, as well as topiary. She was an artist and crafter of many things, including making hand designed lamp shades and sewing. Anne's true love was being at home, cooking for her family, especially her mother’s fudge recipe and spending time with her loved ones.  

Anne is survived by her five children, Albert K. Stokes and his wife Irene of Marlborough, Anthony R. Stokes and his wife Lisa of Hubbardston, M. Sarah Anderson and her husband Steve of Hubbardston, Thomas P. Dibuono of Hubbardston, and Hannah J.B. Raymond and her husband Todd of Sterling; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Thomson and her husband Ken of Middleborough; two brothers, John Parmenter and her husband Jane of Pioneer, CA, and Daniel Parmenter and his wife Phillis of Athol; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. DiBuono.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Worcester Road, Hubbardston, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
