Anna (Flourent) Tourigny, 86, of Ashburnham and Briny Breezes, FL, and formerly of East Templeton, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 26, 2017 in St. Vincent Hospital of Worcester, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.
She was born February 3, 1931 in Greenfield, MA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Cominoli) (Flourent) Lovell.
Anna spent many years as the bookkeeper for the family business, Chair City Oil Company of Gardner, and as a waitress for Olsen's Restaurant. She was very proud of her first job as a telephone operator during WWII.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church of East Templeton.
Anna had many hobbies over the years. She always enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, stamp collecting, gardening and being with her cats. Most of all, Anna loved her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Paul Tourigny who died August 7, 2005. They happily raised a family together in East Templeton, and enjoyed spending summers in Ashburnham and winters in Briny Breezes, FL.
She leaves two sons, David Tourigny and his wife Mary of East Templeton and Michael Tourigny and his wife Suzanne of Ashburnham; one brother, Michael Lovell and his wife Judith of Orange; six grandchildren, Raymond St. Hilaire, Shawn Tourigny, Julie (Tourigny) Haupt, Peter Tourigny, Nicholas and Benjamin Thurman; seven great-grandchildren, Ella St. Hilaire, Ian, Theodore and Josephine Haupt, Bradley, Ana-Logan and Wesley Tourigny; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Paula M. Thurman who died in 2007.
Funeral Services and burial are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
