Ann Marie Claire "Kitty" (Martel) Landry, 79, of 32 Hospital Hill Rd., Gardner, died Monday, March 6th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Born in Gardner on May 12, 1926, she was the daughter of Edmond A. and Corinne (Boucher) Martel.
She was an office worker employed by Simplex Time Recorder Co. of Gardner for 15 years, retiring in 1978.
She was a 1944 graduate of Gardner High School and was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She was also a member of A.A.R.P. and Gardner Golden Agers.
Claire enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, walking, camping, dancing and traveling.
She leaves her husband of 58 years, Albert P. Landry of Gardner; 1 son, Alan M. Landry of Gardner; 1 daughter, Pamela Ann "Penny" Pelletier of Pepperell; 4 grandchildren, Tara Beaudoin, Jeffrey and Kevin Pelletier, Jacob Landry; 1 great-grandchild, Colin Beaudoin; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond J. Martel of Florida.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, March 9th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
