Anita M Boudreau

Anita M. “Memere” (Fournier) Boudreau, 95, a lifelong resident of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, August 8, 2019 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home of Gardner.

            Born in Gardner on June 11, 1924, Anita was the daughter of the late Joseph and Delima (Lavoie) Fournier. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1942. Anita was employed for many years by H&R 1871 of Gardner as a machine operator. She was previously employed by Heywood-Wakefield Company of Gardner as a hand-sander.

            Anita was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner and its Ladies of St. Anne Society.

            She enjoyed baking, walking and playing solitaire. She loved scratch tickets; and watching ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and her favorite game shows on television. Anita treasured spending time with her family.

            She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Alcide J. Boudreau, who died in 2013.

            Anita leaves her sons, Stephen Boudreau and his wife Susan of Lisbon, NH, and Gary Boudreau and his wife Susan of Berlin, MA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Boudreau and his wife Catherine of Morrisville, VT, Stacy Bryck and her husband Rick of Dummerston, VT, Holly Galvis and her husband Ricky of Northboro, Nicholas Boudreau and his wife Katelyn of Clinton, and Hilary Burke and her husband Matt of Waltham; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Boudreau, Olivia Burke and Remy Bryck; sister-in-law, Irene Fournier of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Anita was predeceased by her brothers, Enoil Fournier and Herve Fournier; and sister-in-law Jeannette Fournier.

            Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 13th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

            Calling hours will be held Monday, August 12th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
