Amanda (Cormier) Maillet, 98, of 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner and formerly of 24 Regan Street, Gardner died peacefully, Thursday, July 16th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Gardner.
Born in Bouctouche N.B. Canada on May 4, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Magloire and Elmina (Leblanc) Cormier.
Mrs. Maillet was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner and it's Ladies of St. Anne Society.
She enjoyed cooking, knitting, traveling and spending time with family. Amanda was a devout Catholic who attended Mass and regularly recited the Rosary.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Theodore J. Maillet who died June 18, 1992.
Mrs. Maillet leaves one son, Donald Maillet and his wife Joanne of Gardner; two daughters, Claudette Hamel of Leominster and Linda Henchey and her husband Donald of Ashland; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by seven brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will Monday, July 20th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
