Alyre “Half Time” “Al” J. LeBlanc, 81, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, January 28, 2022, in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.
Born in Minto, New Brunswick, Canada, on July 3, 1940, he was the son of the late Lucas and Helena (Boucher) LeBlanc. Alyre was a Set-Up-Person employed by Simplex Time Recorder for 19-years until his retirement in 2019. He was previously employed by GEM Industries of Gardner for several years.
Alyre was a Friend of Bill W. He enjoyed going for his daily walks and playing guitar. Alyre’s greatest joy came when he was with his family, always treasuring the special moments together.
Alyre is survived by a son, Jim LeBlanc and his significant other Jennifer Fontaine of Gardner; a grandchild, Jamie Lin LeBlanc; a brother, Laurie J. LeBlanc and his wife Corinne of Lunenburg; a sister, Maria Arsenault and her husband Hervie of Portland, ME; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife of 58-years, Alyce (Vermette) LeBlanc, who died in 2020; and a sister, Ella Richard.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
A Calling Hour will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
