Alton "Alton John" Stone

Alton "Alton John" Stone, 74, of 819 Clark Street, Gardner died Saturday, October 22, 2011 in UMass Memorial Medical Center, Lake Ave. N, Worcester, following a brief illness.
Born in Baldwinville on October 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Harold W. and Evelyn G. (Tukey) Stone.
Alton was a volunteer at Heywood Hospital and GAAMHA Industries in Gardner for several years.
He was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Winchendon, and also a member of Seven Hill Foundation.
Alton enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with his friends. He loved animals and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.
Alton leaves three brothers, Roland E. Stone and his wife Linda M. of Gardner, Kenneth W. Stone and his wife Marcia of Gardner and James H. Stone and his wife Patti of Gardner; one sister, Audrey A. Faucher of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his close friends, Leo, Charlie and Bob.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 26th at 2:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Wednesday, October 26th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
