Alonzo J Leger

Alonzo J. "Ace" Leger, 67, of E. Templeton, died peacefully Sunday, December 18, 2016 in his residence following an illness.
Born in St. Antoine, N.B. Canada on April 12, 1949, he was the son of the late Zoel and Ida (Arsenault) Leger.
Alonzo was employed in the Maintenance Department of H&R 1871 of Gardner for over 10 years.
He enjoyed Canadian and Country music, and loved spending time with family. Alonzo was a 'Jack-of-all-Trades' and proudly fixed many things for many people. He was a member of the Acadien Social Club of Gardner.
He was predeceased by his only child, Steven Leger, who died January 26, 2008, and by his longtime companion, Barbara (Bennet) Brouillet who died September 3, 2013.
Alonzo leaves one stepson, Steven Brouillet of Gardner; three step-daughters, Jo-Ann Goguen and her husband Randy of Ashburnham, Laura Blake and her husband Robert of Royalston and Amy Boudreau and her husband John of Baldwinville; two brothers, Clarence Leger and Robert Leger, both of St. Antoine, N.B. Canada; one sister, Adrienne (Leger) Lanteigne of St. Antoine, N.B. Canada; eleven grandchildren, Joey Kocsis, Taylor Goguen, Brandy Blankenship, Andrew Morin, Season and Cameron Brouillet, Kasara, Alyssa and Brittany LaRoche, Brandon Boudreau and Emilia Cook; seven great-grandchildren, Bailey, Jayden, Steven, Arielle, Sadie, Chase and Talon.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 6th at 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
